Job Title: Senior Software Data Engineer - Python

Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience in software development / data engineering with cloud technologies (Python and AWS)

Location: Hybrid: 2-3 days a week work from office in Colombia (preferably in Bogotá, Medellín, or Cartagena)

Requirement: Fluent in English - preferably has worked with large U.S. Clients

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong skills in software development using Python language, SQL, AWS, and CI/CD practices, particularly Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK. This role focuses on designing and implementing serverless data pipelines and cloud infrastructure to build end-to-end data solutions that extract, transform, and catalog data from various sources. You will collaborate closely with data science teams to ensure data accessibility and quality for their analytics and modeling initiatives.

ROLE WILL INVOLVE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

• Design and implement serverless data pipelines using AWS services
• Build and maintain data lakes and ETL processes
• Collaborate with data science teams
• Implement data governance and security best practices

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Python (5+ years) - Strong development background
• AWS Cloud & Services expertise (especially Lambda, S3, Athena, Glue)
• Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK/CloudFormation)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with AWS Lake Formation
• EventBridge & Step Functions knowledge
