Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc is seeking a seasoned Solutions Engineer to partner with Account Executives in leading technical discovery, designing solutions, and validating architectures for enterprise customers. You will deliver compelling product demos and PoCs that demonstrate ROI and business value.

You will collaborate across product, channel, and engineering teams to gather feedback and expand account penetration while translating complex requirements into concrete technical designs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, systems engineering, or technical consulting (or Master’s degree plus 3 years / PhD).
• Minimum 3 years of experience translating customer business requirements into technical architectures within enterprise IT environments.
• Minimum 2 years of experience building and delivering live software demonstrations, proof-of-concept (PoC) tests, or customer technical evaluations.
• Professional experience supporting enterprise networking, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or observability/data analytics solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical professional experience).

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery, solution design, and architectural validation with Account Executives across enterprise accounts.
• Deliver engaging technical presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and hands-on product demonstrations showing business outcomes and ROI.
• Build and execute PoCs to validate feasibility, displace competitors, and accelerate deals.
• Collaborate with product specialists, channel partners, and engineering teams to provide field feedback and expand account penetration.
