Quorum Software in Bogotá, Colombia, is seeking a Software Engineer I to contribute to one of its applications within a fast-paced, international setting. The role focuses on full lifecycle software development, collaborating with subject matter experts to define requirements, design new features, implement code, and create tests.

You will work in a hybrid environment, with a minimum of two days on-site per week, and engage in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and deployment packaging.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or higher-level education equivalent.
• 1+ years of application development with design, development, implementation, and support experience including Angular or ReactJS.
• Excellent understanding of object-oriented concepts and .NET framework.
• Ability to troubleshoot and isolate/solve bugs, connectivity issues, or OS related issues.
• Ability to write SQL queries and stored procedures in MSSQL.
• Experience working with source control tools (TFS, SVN, or GIT) with basic understanding of build automation.
• Proven ability to use design patterns to accomplish scalable architecture.
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Overview

You will join and immediately contribute to the team that supports one of Quorum’s applications.

Responsibilities

• Using a variety of tools and technologies to perform some aspects or phase of full lifecycle of software development:
  • Work directly with subject matter experts to identify and document requirements for any change
  • Creating detailed designs of new functionality or incremental enhancements
  • Coding of new functionality and incremental enhancements using a variety of tools/languages
  • Defining and creating manual or automated test cases and executing them
  • Performance tuning
  • Troubleshooting cause of problems or source of defects and recommending changes to address
  • Creating automated installation & deployment packages
  • Documenting system behavior and system architecture
  • Participating in Agile project planning, management and improvement
• Collaborating with others on the team to improve overall product quality and development & support efficiency
• Providing guidance, mentoring, and training to others on the team
• And other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or higher-level education equivalent
• 1+ Years of application development with design, development, implementation, and support experience, including the following:
  • Angular or ReactJS
• Excellent Understanding of object-oriented concepts and .Net framework
• Ability to troubleshoot and isolate/solve bugs, connectivity issues, or OS related issues
• Ability to write SQL queries and stored procedures in MSSQL

Preferred Skills

• Experience with C# and MSSQL
• Knowledge of Agile, Azure DevOps, DevOps practices, Test-Driven Development
• SaaS software experience

Additional Details

• Background Check: The successful candidate will need to successfully complete the following clearances: Criminal History Check, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Driver’s License Verification and Passport/ID validation.
• Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software in Colombia is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position. The successful candidate will be required to ensure they maintain and renew any visas or permits that grant employment eligibility where applicable.
