Job summary

Quorum Software seeks a Technical Consultant to join our Professional Services team in a hybrid role based in Bogotá, Colombia. You will implement our software for energy clients, handling installation, configuration, data conversion, reporting, and integration.

You will master SQL, Azure DevOps, and C# tasks, while collaborating with clients to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions. Local travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technology, engineering, or related field.
• Strong SQL skills for data conversion and troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of software development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Overview

We are looking for a Technical Consultant to join our Professional Services team and help implement our software for energy companies in North America. The Technical Consultant will be responsible for providing technical services to customers as part of implementing proprietary software solutions to best fit customer needs. They will develop an understanding and work towards mastery of the technical services related to Quorum products, including application installation, configuration, data conversion, reporting, and integration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical services to customers in the form of design, configuration, deployment, and issue resolution for application installations, environment management, data conversion, reporting, and/or integration
• Master basic technical skills required for successful technical services delivery, such as SQL, Azure DevOps Pipelines, C# troubleshooting, report building, and in-house Quorum tools
• Develop an understanding of Quorum’s architecture systems and software development lifecycle processes
• Take full ownership of work assigned, including work quality, successful completion, timely delivery, and documentation
• Participate in the design, configuration/development, and testing phases of software implementation and upgrade projects
• Work with customer IT and business users regularly to gather business and technical specifications, install software updates, manage application security, train IT personnel, and resolve issues
• Demonstrate technical and product expertise in customer conversations while representing Quorum positively
• And other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in technology, engineering, business, or other analytical discipline
• Strong database skills (SQL) such as writing functions/procedures, converting and managing large sets of data, and troubleshooting issues
• Basic understanding of software development
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong desire for continuous learning
• Willing to travel up to 50% during the week
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with software deployments, Cloud-based solutions and/or Cloud/SaaS project delivery model
• Basic programming skills (C# and/or other computer programming languages)
• Basic understanding of systems architecture
• Experience with object-oriented programming, web development, REST APIs, and/or SSRS reporting
• Experience working as a business analyst and/or in the oil and gas industry

Additional Details

• Background Check: The successful candidate will need to successfully complete the following clearances: Criminal History Check, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Driver’s License Verification and Passport/ID validation.
• Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software in Colombia is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.
