Amadeus in Bogota is seeking a Software Development Engineer 3 to contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining the Revenue Accounting platform. You will define technical design, develop features, and deliver product functionalities per stakeholder agreements.

In this role, you’ll review specifications, implement solutions, perform code reviews, conduct tests, and document software. You will support production with debugging and respond to change requests from Product Management.

Formación

• Experience across the full software development life cycle with coding standards, reviews, source control, builds, testing and operations.
• Advanced understanding of object-oriented programming and UML.
• Strong experience in C++ (preferred) or C#, Java technologies.
• Expert knowledge of software development concepts including design patterns, algorithms and security requirements.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (MSSQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
• Familiar with Git and branching strategies.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban).

Responsabilidades

• Participate in specifications reviews, propose technical solutions and feasibility studies.
• Develop software according to Amadeus standards and document accordingly.
• Perform code reviews in line with Amadeus quality standards.
• Conduct unit, package and performance tests ensuring quality per Amadeus guidelines.
• Participate in validation/acceptance phase of the product cycle.
• Produce software documentation for the application and share with requesting departments.
• Support production by debugging software in response to PTRs and CRs.

Summary of the role:

The mission consists in taking part in a project that is designing, developing and maintaining the Revenue Accounting platform. Our goal is to define the technical design, perform development and delivery of the product functionalities based on the solutions agreed with stakeholders.

In this role you’ll:

• Participate in specifications reviews, propose technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
• Develop software according to Amadeus Standards, including documentation.
• Perform code reviews in line with Amadeus quality standards.
• Conduct unit, package and performance tests of the software and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.
• Participate in the validation / acceptance phase of the product cycle ensuring the fine-tuning necessary to finalize the product.
• Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.
• Support the end user in the Production phase by debugging existing software solutions in response to Problem Tracking Records (PTR) and Change Requests (CR) issued from Product Management or Product Definition.

About the ideal candidate:

• Strong experience in full software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Advanced understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and UML.
• Advanced experience in C++ (preferred) or C#, Java Technologies.
• Expert in software development concepts including design patters, algorithms, and security requirements.
• Working experience with relational and non-relational databases (MSSQL, oracle and MongoDB preferred).
• Familiar with version control tools such as GIT and proper branching techniques.
• Knowledge in Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban).
