Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Tech Lead for Performance Engineering & Platform Reliability. The role focuses on leading a cross-functional team to deliver high-performing, scalable, and reliable cloud-native systems with strong observability and performance engineering capabilities.

The ideal candidate combines deep software engineering with hands-on experience in C#/.NET and Golang, microservices design, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices within an Agile delivery environment.

Formación

Tech Lead – Performance Engineering & Platform Reliability

Position Summary

The Tech Lead is responsible for leading a cross-functional engineering team to deliver high-performing, scalable, and reliable systems. This role provides technical leadership across software development, platform reliability, cloud-native architectures, observability, and performance engineering, ensuring alignment with business goals and Agile delivery practices.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise, particularly in C#/.NET and Golang, with experience designing and operating distributed systems in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Solution Architecture

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams on system design, architecture, and development best practices.
• Define and validate technical solutions considering scalability, reliability, maintainability, and performance.
• Lead technical decision-making and support the resolution of complex production and platform issues.
• Promote engineering excellence through clean code practices, design patterns, code reviews, and architectural standards.
• Drive the adoption of modern architectures, including microservices and cloud-native solutions.

Performance Engineering & Platform Reliability

• Establish and evolve performance engineering practices to proactively identify system bottlenecks and optimize scalability.
• Ensure systems meet defined performance SLAs, KPIs, and reliability objectives.
• Support the implementation of load testing, monitoring, and observability practices across the software lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve application performance and operational stability.

Cloud, Infrastructure & CI/CD

• Guide the implementation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation practices.
• Support cloud-native deployments and containerized environments.
• Collaborate with platform and operations teams to ensure resilient, scalable, and secure environments.
• Promote DevOps and automation practices across the engineering organization.

Agile Delivery & Team Development

• Partner with Scrum Masters, TPMs, Product Managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
• Establish KPIs, dashboards, and continuous improvement processes.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, innovation, and continuous learning.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong software development experience with:
• C# / .NET
• Golang
• Experience designing and building microservices-based architectures.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and distributed systems.
• Experience working with at least one major cloud platform:
• Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience working with containerized environments and Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS, GKE, or similar).
• Strong troubleshooting, system design, and technical leadership capabilities.

Leadership Skills

• Experience leading engineering teams in Agile environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence.
