Job summary

Booth seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead internal automation and backend integrations for a major e-commerce brand. You will partner with our Business Analyst who handles discovery and prototyping in n8n, converting those workflows into production-ready systems.

You will own complex API integrations (REST, GraphQL, OAuth, webhooks) and help scale data flows from planning to ERP to the site, including building LLM workflows for data extraction and content generation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails or TypeScript/Node; Python acceptable.
• Strong SQL/PostgreSQL skills and API integration expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal automation and backend integrations for e-commerce workflows.
• Build and deploy LLM workflows for data extraction, content generation, and product review parsing.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to turn discovery into production-ready systems.

Job description

We are looking for a highly proactive Senior Software Engineer to lead internal automation and backend integrations for a major e-commerce brand.

This isn't a standard ticket-taking SaaS role. You will partner closely with our Business Analyst—who handles discovery and prototyping in n8n—and take ownership of hardening those workflows into robust, production-ready systems. If you enjoy acting as the bridge between technical architecture and non-technical business teams (like planning and buying), this is for you.

The Reality of the Role:

• The Split: ~85% back-of-house internal automation and heavy API integrations, 15% customer-facing e-commerce features.
• The Mission: Automate product data flows (from planning to ERP to site) and integrate internal systems (NetSuite, Airtable, BigQuery) to eliminate manual friction.
• The AI Component: Build and deploy LLM workflows for data extraction, content generation, and product review parsing.

What We’re Looking For:

• Communication skills: You need to have an excellent english level. C1 is a MUST
• The Tech: 5+ years of backend engineering experience. Strong in Ruby/Rails or TypeScript/Node (Python is acceptable). Solid SQL/Postgres skills.
• The Architecture: Deep expertise in complex API integrations (REST, GraphQL, OAuth, webhooks, rate limits).
• The Tools: Hands-on experience with workflow automation platforms, specifically n8n (or Zapier, Make, Airflow).
• The Industry Fit: E-commerce, retail, or manufacturing background is heavily preferred. (Pure SaaS backgrounds are not the best fit for our product-attribute data flows).
