GlobalLogic is seeking an experienced backend engineer in Bogotá to design, build, and operate API-driven services end-to-end. You will make architecture decisions, model data, and balance performance, scalability, and reliability while owning production systems.

The role requires deep Rails expertise, strong database skills, and a track record of shipping robust, scalable APIs with a focus on maintainability and collaboration with product teams.

Formación

• Ruby/Rails API-first development
• PostgreSQL with strong query optimization
• Background job processing (Sidekiq)
• RSpec and test-driven development
• API design and best practices
• 8+ years building backend Rails systems
• Strong ownership and end-to-end service responsibility
• Experience scaling systems and improving performance
• Debug production issues and drive root cause fixes
• Solid data modeling and tradeoffs
• Mentor engineers and raise code quality
