Kake is seeking an experienced Video Software Engineer to develop and optimize a real-time video platform that powers broadcast, sports, and streaming partners. You will work on low-latency video pipelines across cloud and on-prem environments, focusing on C++ and Rust across the full stack.

The role requires strong expertise in video technologies, Windows/Linux development, and AWS services. This is a remote-first position with global opportunities and USD compensation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Significant professional experience in C++ and Rust.
• Experience on Windows 10/11 (64-bit) and Linux.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (S3, EC2).
• Experience with multimedia frameworks like GStreamer.
• Deep understanding of video codecs (HEVC) and streaming (MPEG-TS, SRT, HLS, WebRTC).
• Familiarity with NVIDIA CUDA and NVIDIA Video Codec SDK.
• Understanding SMPTE standards and video/image processing techniques.
• Proficient in software development best practices: VCS, testing, deployment.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and deploy low-latency video processing pipelines for cloud and on-prem environments.
• Build real-time video processing for encoding/decoding, transport, and image enhancement.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and operations of mission-critical video services.
• Evaluate new technologies and improve platform performance and scalability.
• Provide on-call support for field operations, including evenings and weekends.
• Maintain documentation: code, architecture diagrams, and procedures.
• Participate in architecture, design, and product planning with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate in an agile development environment.
