Kake is a remote-first company building immersive entertainment experiences. We look for a DevOps Engineer to scale infrastructure, implement IaC, and secure and observe systems.

You’ll work with AWS, Kubernetes, Pulumi TypeScript, and GitHub Actions to automate deployments and maintain CI/CD pipelines across a global team, with PST overlap.

Join a global, fully remote team and help connect services like MongoDB Atlas to Kubernetes, while using Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki to monitor reliability.

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us build and scale the foundation behind cutting-edge immersive entertainment experiences. You will play a key role in shaping our infrastructure-as-code, streamlining deployments, and ensuring our systems are secure, observable, and resilient. If you enjoy working with modern cloud technologies, container orchestration, and automation in a dynamic environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Core Requirements:

• Strong understanding of AWS services, including IAM, VPC, S3, EC2, EKS, and security groups.
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes fundamentals, including pods, services, deployments, and ingress resources.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Pulumi (TypeScript) to manage and provision infrastructure.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with containerization using Docker (image creation, optimization, registry usage) and deployment workflows using Helm (chart management, templating, releases), Kustomize for resource customization, and FluxCD for GitOps workflows.
• Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancers, ingress controllers) and securely connecting managed services (e.g., MongoDB Atlas) to Kubernetes.
• Proven experience in monitoring and observability using Grafana (dashboard creation, visualization best practices), Loki (log aggregation, querying, troubleshooting with logs), and Prometheus (metrics collection, alerting, service monitoring).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with build and release management for TypeScript and Rust applications.
