EPAM Systems, Inc. in Colombia seeks a Senior Python Engineer to design and evolve web services powering financial tech workflows.

You will build resilient APIs with Python and Flask, and lead backend design across microservices, data models, and API contracts. You will implement automated tests, guide quality gates, and deploy to AWS with Docker, while collaborating with global teams through code reviews and agile delivery.

Formación

• 3+ years of Python experience with Flask and related web frameworks.
• Cloud experience using AWS.
• Containerization experience with Docker.
• Strong test automation including unit and integration testing.
• Experience delivering complex, high-stakes fintech applications in agile teams.
• Excellent collaboration and communication across global teams.
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2).

Responsabilidades

• Design backend services and APIs for financial technology platforms using Python and Flask.
• Build resilient systems that meet compliance, auditability, and operational requirements.
• Lead system design efforts across microservices, data models, and API contracts.
• Drive refactoring and redesign initiatives to improve critical financial systems.
• Implement automated tests and enforce quality gates through unit and integration testing.
• Deploy and operate services using Amazon Web Services and Docker-based workflows.
• Collaborate with global teams through code reviews, peer learning, and agile delivery.
• Integrate observability and monitoring practices to support reliable operations.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate financial domain needs into technical solutions.
