Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with a focus on database optimization and scalable software development in Colombia.

You will lead initiatives to enhance database performance and build robust back-end systems capable of handling high data volumes, especially for revenue-driving features. The role requires 4+ years of Python experience, proficiency with Snowflake, SQL, and dbt, and a strong emphasis on clean, efficient code and event-driven data flows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Python experience.
• Hands-on experience building tools with Streamlit for Snowflake.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Snowflake usage.
• Experience with dbt (data build tool) for data transformation and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of databases to improve performance and scalability.
• Develop scalable back-end systems to handle high data volumes, focusing on revenue-driving features.
• Design, implement, test, and maintain software applications prioritizing performance and reliability.
• Write clean, modular code following OOP principles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate concepts into actionable software solutions.
• Design event-driven processes to improve data flow and scalability across systems.
