Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to lead database optimization and scalable software initiatives. You will drive data architecture, optimize queries, and build robust back-end systems for high data volumes, especially revenue-driving features.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement event-driven processes, and deliver clean, testable Python code using OOP principles. Snowflake, SQL, dbt, and Streamlit for Snowflake experience is valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with Python.
• Hands-on experience building tools using Streamlit for Snowflake.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with Snowflake.
• Experience with dbt (data build tool) for data transformation and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Data Optimization and Database Performance: Lead design and optimization of databases to improve performance, scalability, and efficiency, with a strong focus on query optimization, indexing strategies, and data architecture best practices;
• Back-End Data Processing: Build and maintain efficient, scalable back-end systems to handle high data volumes, prioritizing the optimization of revenue-driving features;
• Software Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and scalability;
• OOP and Clean Code: Write clean, modular code following Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, with proficiency in Python;
• Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate high-level concepts into actionable, effective software solutions;
• Event-Driven Processes: Design and implement event-driven processes to improve data flow, responsiveness, and scalability across systems.
