Job summary

Blossom, a U.S.-based fintech, seeks a Senior Performance & Security Engineer to ensure the digital banking platform is secure, reliable, and performs under demanding conditions.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in systems/CS/SE, 5+ years in software engineering (3+ in performance, reliability, or security), and hands-on testing, security tooling, and cloud experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years in Software Engineering with 3+ years in Performance, Reliability, or Application Security Engineering.
• Experience building performance or security testing practices from the ground up.
• Hands-on with load testing tools such as k6, JMeter, Gatling, Locust.
• Experience with web and API penetration testing (Burp Suite or similar).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database performance optimization (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Experience with observability tools (OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Grafana, Datadog).
• Knowledge of AWS, CI/CD integration, and performance monitoring.
• Experience with multi-tenant systems or regulated financial environments is a plus.
• English level B2 or higher.

We are looking for a Senior Performance & Security Engineer to help ensure our digital banking platform is secure, reliable, and ready to perform under demanding conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, including 3+ years in Performance, Reliability, or Application Security Engineering.
• Experience building performance or security testing practices from the ground up.
