Job summary

Blossom, a U.S.-based fintech, is seeking a Senior Performance & Security Engineer to ensure our digital banking platform is secure, reliable, and scalable under heavy load.

You will lead performance and security testing initiatives, implement observability, and collaborate with cloud and CI/CD teams to optimize PostgreSQL/MySQL databases and multi-tenant environments. English B2+ required; remote-friendly role. This position offers 100% remote work and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in Software Engineering with 3+ years in Performance, Reliability, or Security Engineering.
• Experience building performance or security testing practices from the ground up.
• Hands-on with load testing tools such as k6, JMeter, Gatling, Locust.
• Experience with web and API security testing using Burp Suite.
• Strong SQL knowledge and database performance optimization (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Experience with observability tools (OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Grafana, Datadog).
• Knowledge of AWS, CI/CD integration, and performance monitoring.
• English level B2 or higher.

We are looking for a Senior Performance & Security Engineer to help ensure our digital banking platform is secure, reliable, and ready to perform under demanding conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, including 3+ years in Performance, Reliability, or Application Security Engineering.
• Experience building performance or security testing practices from the ground up.
• Hands-on experience with load testing tools such as k6, JMeter, Gatling, or Locust.
• Experience with web and API penetration testing, using Burp Suite or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database performance optimization, preferably PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with observability tools, such as OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Knowledge of AWS, CI/CD integration, and performance monitoring.
• Experience with multi-tenant systems or regulated financial environments is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• English level B2 or higher.
