Job summary

Auxis LLC is seeking a Sr. OC Analyst to administer and support client operating system environments, ensuring high availability and performance.

You will handle L1/L2 troubleshooting for Windows servers, manage AD/DNS/DHCP/CA alerts, and collaborate with IT teams to resolve OS- and performance-related issues. The role requires English and Spanish proficiency at or above B2 level, strong scripting and disaster recovery knowledge, and familiarity with virtualization, cloud concepts, and ITIL

Qualifications

• Requires basic admin of Windows servers and networking infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Active Directory.
• Nice to have: degree in CS/Engineering or IT.
• 2+ years in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 troubleshooting for operating system issues, hardware performance, security vulnerabilities, and other basic systems management tasks.
• Manage alerts for Microsoft Windows Server OS services such as DHCP, DNS, AD, and CA.
• Respond to events to ensure the highest level of system and infrastructure availability.
• Collaborate with client application teams to resolve operating system, availability, and performance-related issues.
• Monitor security, backup, and redundancy systems according to predefined standards.
• Work closely with and support the IT Service Desk, Engineering team, and vendors to expedite issue resolution.
• Regularly review logs of events based on organization/client requirements.
• Properly administer assigned tickets, including documentation, updates, and managing ticket performance.
• Identify opportunities for alert reduction and automation.
• Recognize alert patterns and suggest solutions.

Skills and Experience

Experience:

• Experience with the basic administration of Windows servers, including a fundamental understanding of networking infrastructure.
• Demonstrated familiarity of Active Directory.
• Work experience in Computer Science. (Nice to Have)
• 2+ years of work experience in a related field preferred. (Nice to Have)

Education:

• A high school diploma is a prerequisite for this position.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent work experience. (Nice to Have)

Technical Competencies:

• Basic knowledge of the ITIL framework.
• Basic knowledge of Active Directory services.
• Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems (Nice to Have).
• Knowledge of or training in Cisco CCNA.
• Cisco CCNA Certification (Nice to Have).
• Knowledge of disaster recovery techniques.
• Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as VBScript, BAT, and PowerShell.
• Be familiar with Microsoft Office 365 and email security applications.
• Understanding of virtualization technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and basic operations.
• Understanding of infrastructure operations management, including backup, antivirus, and patching.

Language Skills:

• Proficiency in English and Spanish (Oral and written), with a minimum of B2 level proficiency in both languages being a requirement.
