EPAM Systems is seeking a nearshore Full Stack Lead Engineer to build and support commerce backend services and AI-driven checkout flows. You will collaborate across backend and frontend components, ensuring scalable, reliable, and compliant delivery.

Requirements include 5+ years in Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and lead-level delivery, plus experience with Anthropic Claude Code and cloud platforms. Strong English (B2) and ability to overlap with US Pacific Time are essential.

• 5+ years backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Lead-level experience guiding technical decisions and delivery.
• Commerce domain or payments/loyalty experience is a plus.
• Overlap with US Pacific Time and ability to cover until 4pm PST.

Responsabilidades

• Design backend services for commerce domain systems like payment and promotions.
• Build REST APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Enable AI-driven checkout flows with validations and guardrails.
• Develop selected frontend components using ReactJS.
• Coordinate technical decisions across nearshore teams and ensure reliable delivery.
