Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a seasoned Java Developer with Angular expertise to address security vulnerabilities across enterprise applications. The role focuses on backend Java/Spring Boot development and supporting front-end components with Angular, ensuring secure, maintainable fixes across systems.

You will review security findings, upgrade vulnerable libraries, and implement code-level remediations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust REST services and high-quality

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial software development experience with Java.
• Proficiency in Java with the ability to explain concepts and deliver maintainable solutions.
• Expertise in Spring Framework / Spring Boot, including dependency injection and REST services.
• Understanding of microservice design, REST-based integrations, and distributed applications.
• SQL and relational databases knowledge (PostgreSQL).
• Background in Angular and TypeScript to investigate and remediate frontend functionality.
• Knowledge of Kafka or similar event-driven messaging technologies, including producers/consumers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and remediate security vulnerabilities across applications.
• Develop, modify, and maintain backend functionality using Java and Spring Boot.
• Operate within microservice architectures and REST APIs.
• Maintain frontend functionality using Angular.
• Leverage Kafka and event-driven integrations where applicable.
• Execute code-level remediation based on security findings and secure development practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and validation of fixes.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, product stakeholders, and other team members.
