We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with Angular to join our team and support the remediation of security vulnerabilities across a group of business-critical applications.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework / Spring Boot, and Angular and is comfortable working with existing enterprise applications, analyzing security findings, and implementing secure and maintainable fixes across both backend and front-end components.
The primary focus of the role is Java/Spring development and security vulnerability remediation, with Angular used to support and maintain front-end components where required.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and remediate security vulnerabilities across the applications
- Develop, modify, and maintain backend functionality using Java and Spring Boot
- Work with existing microservice-based architectures and REST APIs
- Work with relational databases, including PostgreSQL, and troubleshoot application/database integration issues
- Maintain and update front-end functionality using Angular
- Work with Kafka and event-driven integrations where applicable
- Investigate existing code and implement solutions that address vulnerabilities without negatively affecting business functionality
- Upgrade vulnerable libraries, frameworks, and application dependencies
- Perform code-level remediation based on security findings and secure development practices
- Troubleshoot issues resulting from security fixes, dependency upgrades, or existing implementations
- Write clean, maintainable, and secure code across backend and front-end components
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and validation of implemented fixes
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product stakeholders, and other team members
- Support continuous improvement of application security and technical quality
Requirements
- 2+ years of commercial software development experience with Java
- Strong practical Java knowledge and the ability to explain concepts in depth, reason through coding problems, and produce maintainable solutions
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Spring Framework / Spring Boot, including dependency injection, application configuration, REST services, data access, and common enterprise development patterns
- Good understanding of microservice design and communication patterns, service boundaries, REST-based integrations, error handling, resiliency, and troubleshooting distributed applications
- Hands-on SQL and relational database experience, including queries, joins, indexes, transactions, data access, and common performance considerations
- Hands-on experience with Angular and TypeScript sufficient to investigate, maintain, troubleshoot, and remediate existing front-end functionality
- Understanding of Kafka or similar event-driven messaging technologies, including producers/consumers and asynchronous communication patterns
- Good English communication skills (B1+ level)

- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Understanding of common application vulnerabilities, secure coding practices, dependency vulnerabilities, and approaches to identifying and remediating security findings
