SGS is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in Bogotá, Colombia, to design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure, focusing on performance and security. The role involves collaboration with teams and vendors to continuously improve infrastructure systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with advanced Linux/Unix and Windows Server administration, with a strong background in cloud environments like Azure. This position requires on-site presence with a full indefinite-term contract.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, specifically in complex environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in enterprise settings.
• Experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure and high-availability systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement complex IT infrastructure solutions.
• Ensure system performance, security, and availability.
• Troubleshoot issues and manage upgrades.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors.

Conocimientos

Advanced Linux/Unix system administration

Experience with Windows Server administration

Strong knowledge of Ansible, Chef, or other configuration management tools

Scripting experience with Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Shell

Cloud infrastructure experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI

Experience with hybrid infrastructure environments: on-premise and cloud

Virtualization experience with VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM, or similar platforms

Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or similar tools

Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus, SolarWinds, Datadog, or Azure Monitor

Knowledge of networking fundamentals: LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN

Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal
