Job summary

The Nuclear Company is seeking a Sr. Category Manager – Indirect/Corporate to lead end-to-end sourcing for indirect spend, including IT, professional services, and marketing.

You will partner with IT, HR, Finance, Legal, Facilities, and Marketing to develop category strategies and enable scalable procurement channels. They are looking for a candidate with 7+ years in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and proven ability to influence stakeholders in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management with indirect spend.
• Demonstrated experience leading end‑to‑end sourcing initiatives.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management across multiple indirect categories (e.g., IT, marketing, workplace).
• Experience partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders to support sourcing and purchasing decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and drive alignment without direct authority.
• Familiarity with core procurement processes and ERP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve category strategies for assigned indirect spend areas, aligned to business priorities.
• Analyze spend, demand patterns, and supply markets to identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Lead structured sourcing processes (RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations) with stakeholders.
• Support negotiations, pricing structures, and contract terms to achieve best value.
• Coordinate execution of sourcing initiatives, including contracting, onboarding, and implementation with stakeholders.
• Serve as a trusted procurement advisor to IT, HR, Finance, Legal, Facilities, Marketing.
• Shape sourcing approaches that align business needs with market capabilities.
• Adapt engagement level from advisory to leadership of sourcing activities.
