Job summary

Gorilla Logic, Inc. is seeking a Senior Fullstack Java Software Engineer to join our team in Colombia or Costa Rica. You will work on enterprise applications, backend services, and data integration, using Java, Spring Boot, and modern frontend frameworks.

You will design and maintain MVC-style apps, build RESTful APIs and microservices, configure Airflow DAGs, and work with PostgreSQL. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and attention to code quality, testing, and deployment are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java/fullstack
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 9/11/17 and Spring Boot 3.5+
• Experience with Apache Airflow and DAG development
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL
• MVC architecture experience and legacy system maintenance
• Frontend experience with Bootstrap 5, Vue.js, Angular, or React
• Understanding of microservices and inter-service communication (RabbitMQ)
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex)
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and APIs integration
• Git, Agile, and distributed teams

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain fullstack enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and frontend technologies
• Maintain and modernize legacy Java applications following MVC patterns
• Develop and enhance user interfaces with Bootstrap 5, Vue.js, Angular, or React
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices
• Configure and maintain Apache Airflow environments and DAGs
• Design ETL workflows and data integrations across systems
• Work with PostgreSQL and other relational databases
• Implement service communication using RabbitMQ or similar
• Collaborate on architecture, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality
