Job summary

Bluelight, a leading software consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our expanding team. You will design and operate scalable, secure infrastructure across AWS, focusing on reliability, automation, and performance for client projects.

In this role, you will own CI/CD pipelines, IaC, monitoring, incident response, and security controls, with opportunities for growth in a collaborative, globally distributed environment that values ownership and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and ECS/Fargate.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Security-first mindset: vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and compliance/hardening practices.
• Experience supporting SOC 2 (or similar) audit evidence and client security reviews
• Experience with incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems
• Ability to overlap US business hours
• Bachelor's degree required
