Job summary

Bluelight Consulting seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a growing team delivering scalable, secure environments for diverse clients. You will design, deploy, and operate end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and observability stacks across AWS.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in DevOps/SRE/DevSecOps, strong AWS skills, and a security-first mindset. The role supports remote work with US overlap and growth opportunities within a collaborative consulting culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3).
• Experience operating Aurora/PostgreSQL in production with multi-AZ failover and replicas.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS/Fargate).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with deployment automation and rollback drills.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch).
• Experience with load testing (k6) and latency/error budgets.
• Security-focused: vulnerability scanning, secrets management, hardening/compliance.
• Experience supporting SOC 2/audit evidence and client security reviews.
• Incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis.
• Background working with large, complex systems.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable DevOps pipelines for client projects.
• Maintain security and compliance posture across environments.
• Manage incident response, on-call rotations, and RCA investigations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable services.
• Optimize deployment strategies and rollback procedures.
• Coordinate with international clients and US hours during engagement.
