AgileEngine, LLC in Cartagena, Colombia, seeks a Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer to deploy and operationalize a new Kubernetes-based cloud environment on AWS for a short-term project.

You will lead deployment, ensuring security, reliability, and operational excellence while collaborating with application, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to manage workloads on Kubernetes and implement GitOps with Argo CD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years DevOps, SRE, Platform/Cloud Engineering experience.
• 4+ years deploying Kubernetes in production.
• Experience deploying and operating AWS-hosted apps.
• Leading technical implementation with minimal supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Kubernetes, EKS, Helm experience.
• Argo CD and Service Mesh experience.
• Ingress, networking, storage, cluster operations and upgrades.
• AWS services: VPC, EC2, EKS, IAM, Route 53, ALB/NLB, RDS, CloudWatch, S3, Secrets Manager, SSM.
• GitLab, GitLab CI/CD, GitOps, IaC, Terraform.
• Bash, Python, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment of a new cloud environment within AWS or another provider.
• Ensure deployment follows security, reliability, and operational best practices.
• Partner with application, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
• Deploy and manage workloads on Kubernetes platforms.
• Troubleshoot cluster, networking, ingress, storage, and workload issues.
• Implement GitOps deployment patterns with Argo CD.
• Develop and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure.
• Design and enhance GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Configure monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboards.
• Produce runbooks and knowledge-transfer documentation.
