BairesDev is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to own the health and performance of production databases and drive architectural improvements in core storage systems. This 100% remote role offers exposure to diverse tech stacks and global teams.

You will partner with developers to optimize schemas, implement backups and HA/DR, and automate maintenance tasks. Excellent English is required for collaboration across borders.

Formación

• 5+ years as a Database Administrator or similar role.
• Strong expertise with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Proficient in T-SQL or PL/SQL for development and optimization.
• Experience with backups, replication, and HA/DR.

• Manage and optimize production DB instances for peak performance.
• Design backup and recovery procedures for critical data.
• Implement HA/DR solutions to minimize downtime.

Senior Database Administrator at BairesDev

As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the health and performance of our production database environments. You will ensure data integrity and availability while driving architectural improvements for our core storage systems.

What You'll Do:

• - Manage and optimize production database instances to ensure peak performance and stability.
• - Design and execute robust backup and recovery procedures to protect critical data.
• - Implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime.
• - Collaborate with developers to review schema designs and optimize complex queries.
• - Monitor system health proactively and troubleshoot issues across various database technologies.
• - Automate routine maintenance tasks and database deployments to improve operational efficiency.

What we are looking for:

• - 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
• - Proven expertise in operating and tuning production databases like SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, or MySQL.
• - Proficiency in T-SQL or PL/SQL for database development and optimization.
• - Hands-on experience implementing backups, replication, and HA/DR strategies.
• - Deep understanding of performance tuning and database maintenance in high-availability environments.
• - Advanced proficiency in English.
