EPAM Systems in Colombia seeks a Senior Data Engineer to build and maintain cloud-based data platforms. You will design scalable pipelines using Google BigQuery, Python, and Apache Airflow, collaborating with analysts, engineers, product teams in an Agile setting.

You will ensure data quality, optimize performance, and contribute to governance and automation. The role offers international projects, learning opportunities, and a culture that values ownership and continuous improvement.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering
• Proficient Python development for data engineering and automation
• Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery including modeling and performance tuning
• Experience designing and maintaining Apache Airflow workflows
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and modern data architectures
• Strong SQL skills on large-scale datasets
• Experience integrating data from APIs, databases, and cloud services

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
• Build and optimize data solutions using Google BigQuery
• Develop data processing and automation workflows using Python
• Create, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot Airflow workflows
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and consistency across sources
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into scalable solutions
• Implement monitoring, alerts, and best practices for data pipelines
• Contribute to data governance, security, and compliance initiatives
• Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies
