Valtech is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Colombia to design, develop and optimize data pipelines for both batch and streaming workloads. You will work with Databricks, Azure, SQL, Python and AWS in a fast-paced, globally connected environment.

You’ll lead complex data projects, document architectures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions. Remote/hybrid options are available depending on location.

Formación

• Experience with agentic AI and Snowflake
• Proficient in T-SQL with heavy query workloads
• Experience with PostgreSQL in read-only contexts
• Python development with FastAPI
• Understanding of carrier-accept-probability logic
• Kafka messaging (consuming)
• Ability to read C# code to extract logic
• AWS basics: S3, RDS, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch
• Terraform fluency
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in quantitative studies including Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or computation-intensive Sciences and Humanities

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines that are highly available
• Develop fault-tolerant, self-healing data pipelines
• Lead implementation of complex data programs and provide guidance
• Document systems and projects thoroughly
• Tune SQL queries over large distributed datasets
• Perform root cause analysis to resolve software and process issues
