Job summary

Saphialytics is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics practice supporting enterprise clients in the U.S. and Canada. This is a deeply technical role for someone with strong experience designing and operating modern, scalable data platforms.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of data engineering experience, advanced SQL skills, and hands-on expertise with Azure SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, Python, and PySpark. Collaboration with US/Canada teams in a remote setup is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional Data Engineering experience.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong data modeling fundamentals.
• Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Production experience with Snowflake and Databricks.
• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong development skills in Python and PySpark.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, batch processing, incremental loads, orchestration, and large-volume data processing.
• Experience designing data pipelines, lakehouse architectures, and dimensional data models.
• Experience optimizing queries, transformations, partitioning, and distributed workloads.
• Strong understanding of data quality, monitoring, error handling, recovery, security, and production reliability.
• Experience integrating cloud and on-premises data sources, APIs, files, and enterprise systems.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, code reviews, and structured deployment practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex performance and data-quality issues in production.
• Ability to explain and defend technical architecture decisions.
• Experience working in complex enterprise data environments.
• English level C1 or higher.
• Ability to work directly with technical and business stakeholders in the U.S. and Canada.
