Bluelight Consulting seeks a Senior Software Architect to lead the design of low-latency, secure architectures across AWS. You will shape data models with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and build scalable RESTful APIs while mentoring engineers. The role offers remote work with overlap with US business hours and impactful client projects.

You will drive architectural decisions, produce ADRs, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality applications that delight customers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years professional software development experience with 3+ years in architecture-focused roles.
• Deep experience designing low-latency AWS architectures with distributed components.
• Experience with explicit latency budgets (p95/p99) and durable commits in hot paths.
• Experience designing audit/evidence systems with event logs and versioned data models.
• Experience in secure multi-tenant architectures and RLS considerations.
• Strong PostgreSQL/AuroraDB expertise and RLS at data-model level.
• Proven ability to design scalable RESTful APIs and SDK integrations.
• Leadership in setting technical standards, reviews, and mentoring.
