Job summary

Bluelight is a leading software consultancy seeking a senior backend-focused engineer to design and develop high-quality applications. You will contribute to scalable API services, work with Node.js, TypeScript, and React, and ensure robust data models in PostgreSQL/AuroraDB with attention to security and multi-tenant architecture.

Collaboration across teams and client projects is central. You will be involved in building low-latency services in AWS, writing tests, and maintaining CI/CD

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional backend-focused software development experience
• Strong Node.js/TypeScript/JavaScript skills and RESTful API experience
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Experience with secure multi-tenant environments and SQL migrations
• React experience and strong testing practices including integration tests

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services
• Build secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and data models
• Collaborate with frontend and QA to ensure quality and reliability
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and AWS deployment practices
