Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Business Analyst to assess existing reporting and define a future-state reporting strategy and governance model across a broad stakeholder community.

The role emphasizes requirements management, stakeholder interviews, and a structured approach to consolidating and rationalizing the analytics portfolio. You will drive a portfolio-driven transition and establish clear ownership for reports and data sources.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of strong business analysis and requirements-management experience.
• Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate requirements workshops.
• Experience assessing and rationalizing an existing reporting or analytics portfolio.
• Translate complex business needs into structured requirements.
• Develop process maps, requirements docs, reporting inventories, and roadmaps.
• Strong analytical skills to identify duplication, gaps, and simplifications.
• Operate across business, technology, data, and risk stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive inventory of existing reports, dashboards, metrics, and related artifacts.
• Research historical reporting to understand original business needs, audience, and use cases.
• Assess reporting for relevance, duplication, usability, and business value.
• Identify reporting gaps and reports that no longer serve a purpose.
• Develop recommendations to retain, enhance, consolidate, replace, or decommission reporting.
• Identify stakeholder groups and personas who consume or rely on reporting.
• Conduct structured interviews and working sessions to understand objectives and needs.
• Translate stakeholder needs into well-defined requirements.
• Reconcile competing requirements and establish a consolidated view of reporting demand.
• Maintain traceability between needs, requirements, reports, and outcomes.
• Develop a target-state reporting portfolio based on requirements and findings.
• Define reports to address unmet needs and where to enhance or retire reports.
• Prioritize requirements and develop a roadmap for transition from current to future state.
• Establish ownership for reports, metrics, data sources and requirements.
