Bluelight is seeking a Business Analyst to translate business problems into actionable requirements. You will bridge clients, product, and engineering—leading discovery, mapping processes, and crafting user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

You'll handle scope, backlog grooming, and collaboration with design and QA across client builds, maintenance engagements, and internal products. Strong English and API/data literacy are valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role on software projects.
• Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in an agile/Scrum environment.
• Proven ability to run discovery sessions and turn ambiguous input into structured requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder interviews and workshops with clients and internal teams to understand goals, workflows, and pain points.
• Document current-state and future-state processes, business rules, data definitions, and edge cases.
• Support new-project sizing by breaking scope into epics and stories for engineering estimation.
• Identify assumptions, risks, dependencies, and questions early, driving them to resolution.
• Write clear user stories with testable acceptance criteria in Jira.
• Partner with Product Manager to prioritize and groom backlog before each sprint.
• Collaborate with UI/UX in Figma to align flows with requirements and flag gaps.
• Answer engineering questions during sprint and keep requirements current.
• Work with QA to ensure acceptance criteria translate into tests.
• Support sprint demos and coordinate user acceptance testing with clients.
• Keep requirements documentation organized in Google Drive.
• Ensure compliance, security, and audit requirements (SOC 2) are captured as explicit requirements.
