AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and maintain backend services and REST APIs for our data analytics platform, integrating YouTube Creator APIs and Google Trends. You will develop Python services with FastAPI and SQLAlchemy, and run background tasks with Celery and Redis on EKS.

You will collaborate with a data engineer on S3/Glue/Athena pipelines and an AWS Bedrock-based scoring layer, using strong typing and robust API design to deliver scalable insights.

Formación

• 5–7 years of backend software development experience.
• Proficient in Python with FastAPI and SQLAlchemy.
• Experience designing REST APIs consumed by front-ends.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and data sources.
• Strong PostgreSQL knowledge and migrations.
• Experience with Celery or Redis for background tasks.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Familiarity with object storage data lakes (S3/Glue/Athena).
• Knowledge of AWS Bedrock or LLM APIs is a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-challenge skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs.
• Integrate third-party and internal data sources at the app layer.
• Build containerized Python services and background workers on EKS.
• Develop and test AWS serverless components (Lambda, Step Functions).
• Implement authentication and authorization using Auth0, OpenFGA.
• Collaborate with data engineer on S3/Glue/Athena pipeline and Bedrock scoring.
• Leverage Claude Code on AWS Bedrock and evaluate AI outputs.
• Coordinate with engineers to clarify requirements and avoid quick fixes.
• Collaborate daily via Slack and Google Meet.
