You will lead backend feature development in Python/Django and Go, design APIs, build scalable services for trading and risk, and collaborate with frontend teams on data contracts.

Formación

• 5+ years in backend or full-stack software development.
• Strong Python and Django expertise with scalable backend design.

Responsabilidades

• Lead backend feature development using Python/Django and Go for trading workflows.
• Design, document, and maintain APIs for frontend apps.
• Build scalable backend logic for trading, risk, and accounts.
• Collaborate with frontend to ensure data structure consistency.
• Integrate third-party services including payments (Worldpay).
• Write unit and integration tests and follow DoD.
• Deploy and validate services in Kubernetes dev/test envs.
• Mentor team members and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Troubleshoot production issues to ensure platform stability.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working with high-load, low-latency systems and real-time data, while having an interest in financial markets and trading technologies.

What You’ll Do

• Lead backend feature development using Python/Django and Go for trading simulation workflows.
• Design, document, and maintain APIs consumed by frontend applications.
• Build scalable backend logic for trading, risk, and account-related operations.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to ensure consistent data structures and seamless integrations.
• Integrate third-party services, including payment providers.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests following strong engineering standards.
• Deploy and validate services in Kubernetes development and testing environments.
• Support minor UI features and bug fixes using React and Next.js when needed.
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Mentor other team members and share technical knowledge.
• Troubleshoot production and pre-production issues to ensure platform stability.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software development.
• Strong expertise in Python and Django and experience designing scalable backend services.
• Practical experience with Go, particularly for microservices or backend components.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing and consuming API contracts for frontend applications.
• Basic development experience with React and Next.js.
• Experience working with trading platforms or financial systems, or a strong understanding of trading concepts such as tick, bid, ask, buy, and sell.
• Experience integrating payment systems such as Worldpay or similar providers.
• Understanding of Kubernetes deployments in development or testing environments.
• Strong testing discipline, including unit and integration test coverage aligned with Definition of Done.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
