Zusammenfassung

SoftServe is seeking an experienced DevOps/SRE professional to build and enhance AWS-based cloud platforms for client projects of varying sizes. You will work with Kubernetes, serverless and container services, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation to support modernization and migrations.

You will collaborate with architects, developers, SREs, and stakeholders to design reliable, secure, and scalable cloud solutions while applying well-architected practices and cost-optimization strategies.

• Design and operate AWS infrastructure using IaC, Kubernetes, and automation.
• Improving reliability, security, scalability, and delivery speed with repeatable environments.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, SREs and stakeholders to align DevOps solutions with goals.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or AWS tooling.
• Manage Kubernetes workloads in EKS or vanilla clusters using Helm.
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform, CDK, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack, Python, or Bash.
• Implement monitoring and logging with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, etc.
• Apply well-architected practices for modernization, migration, security and cost optimization.

About The Role

In this role, you will build and improve AWS-based cloud platforms for client projects of different sizes and maturity levels. You will work with Kubernetes, serverless and container services, infrastructure automation, observability, and CI/CD while contributing to modernization and migration initiatives

Responsibilities

• Design and operate AWS infrastructure using core IaaS and PaaS services, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and automation practices
• Improve platform reliability, security, scalability, and delivery speed through repeatable environments and strong operational standards
• Collaborate with architects, developers, SREs, platform engineers, and client stakeholders to align DevOps solutions with business and technical goals
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, branching models, and deployment strategies with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or AWS-native tooling
• Manage Kubernetes workloads in Amazon EKS or vanilla clusters, using Helm charts and practical troubleshooting methods
• Automate infrastructure and configuration with Terraform, CDK, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack, Python, or Bash
• Implement monitoring, logging, metrics, and alerts with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, or similar tools
• Apply cloud well-architected practices to modernization, migration, security, resilience, and cost-optimization initiatives

Requirements

• Strong experience as a DevOps, SRE, or platform engineer, including 4+ years in cloud-based delivery
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services such as IAM, VPC, NAT Gateway, ELB, EC2, S3, ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, WAF, Network Firewall, RDS, and DynamoDB
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Amazon EKS or vanilla clusters, Helm charts, and production workload operations
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using Terraform, CDK, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack
• Solid background in Linux administration, networking, TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTPS, TLS certificates, and troubleshooting distributed systems
• Practical scripting skills with Python or Bash; TypeScript, Node.js, or Go experience is a plus
• Practical understanding of observability platforms, cloud well-architected practices, and cloud adoption frameworks
• Clear communication and teamwork skills; experience with AI-based products or ML teams is a plus
• Demonstrated B2+ English proficiency, both written and spoken, for effective daily communication and collaboration with the team
• Availability to work from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM (Colombia time) to ensure effective collaboration and alignment with the team's working hours
