Job summary

SoftServe is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, scale, and optimize cloud infrastructure for a distributed LATAM team supporting global clients. You will own reliability, automation, and performance across production workloads in cloud and hybrid environments.

You will lead infrastructure automation, manage Kubernetes clusters with Helm, and implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Jenkins while enforcing DevOps and DevSecOps practices for observability and security.

Qualifications

• Proficient in designing and scaling cloud infrastructure for production workloads.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and Helm in production clusters.
• Hands-on in Terraform for IaC and CI/CD tooling in cloud environments.

About The Role

In this role, you will design, scale, and optimize cloud infrastructure while collaborating with a distributed LATAM DevOps team supporting global clients. You will take ownership of reliability, automation, and performance across production workloads, strengthening platform stability and enabling continuous delivery across complex cloud and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure, working with engineers and architects to improve system reliability and support production workloads.
• Drive infrastructure automation and operational improvements to increase consistency, scalability, and deployment efficiency across environments.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and application deployments using Helm, ensuring platform stability and reducing operational risks.
• Build and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform and configuration management tools to enable repeatable and efficient provisioning.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools to streamline testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions while applying DevOps and DevSecOps practices to strengthen observability and infrastructure security.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, support incident response, and drive continuous improvements in platform reliability and operational performance.

Requirements

• Advanced experience with Kubernetes, including cluster management, production workloads, and application deployments using Helm.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration, networking protocols, and command-line troubleshooting in production environments.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for scalable and repeatable infrastructure provisioning.
• Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure services, including IAM, VPC, compute resources, and network security.
• Practical experience with configuration management tools such as Salt, Chef, or Puppet.
• Proficient scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Shell for infrastructure automation and operational efficiency.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, adapt to evolving technologies, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated B2+ English proficiency, both written and spoken, for effective daily communication and collaboration with the team.
