BELT Art+Design Studio seeks an experienced architect or industrial designer to bridge client vision with BELT’s metalwork capabilities in Colombia, with projects in New York. You will guide proposals from concept to technical development, shaping choices of form, materials, and finishes.

The role requires a degree in Architecture or Industrial Design, 7+ years in high-end design, and strong English; travel to the United States is required. La Tebaida, Quindío base with on-site work.

Formación

• A degree in Architecture or Industrial Design is required, with a postgraduate qualification in Design.
• At least seven years in architectural design, interiors, or high-end projects with metalwork or bespoke elements.
• Experience presenting design proposals and working directly with clients.
• Strong aesthetic judgment and the ability to develop original concepts.
• Advanced English proficiency and ability to lead design conversations with clients.
• Valid U.S. visa and willingness to travel internationally.

Responsabilidades

At BELT, we design, fabricate, and install bespoke metalwork for high-end architectural and interior design projects. With operations in Colombia and an expanding presence in the United States, we bring together artistic expression, technical expertise, and craftsmanship.

We’re looking for an experienced architect or industrial designer who can develop compelling designs, guide client conversations, and translate ideas into technically feasible solutions for projects in New York.

Your role

You’ll connect the client’s vision with BELT’s design and fabrication capabilities. From early concepts through technical development, you’ll shape proposals, explain design decisions, and guide clients through choices of form, materials, and finishes.

What you’ll do

• Understand client needs and translate project briefs into bespoke architectural metalwork proposals.
• Advise clients on design options, materials, and finishes, balancing aesthetic intent with technical feasibility.
• Develop concepts, sketches, 3D models, renderings, and presentations that clearly communicate your proposals.
• Produce technical drawings and construction details to support project execution.

What you’ll bring

• A degree in Architecture or Industrial Design, with a postgraduate qualification in Design.
• At least seven years of experience in architectural design, interiors, or high-end projects, including work on metalwork, bespoke furniture, products, or architectural elements.
• Experience presenting design proposals and working directly with clients.
• Strong aesthetic judgment and the creativity to develop original design concepts
• Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to lead design conversations, explain technical decisions, and respond to client questions.
• A valid U.S. visa and availability for international travel.

Location & compensation

• Based in La Tebaida, Quindío, Colombia, with required on-site attendance and travel to the United States as needed.
• Compensation: COP 5,600,000, including base salary and variable compensation.
