Worx1 is seeking a Level III Architectural Designer, Semi-Senior, to join the Medellín team on-site. You will develop and coordinate permit and construction document sets for U.S. projects, working with project managers, consultants, and clients in English.

The role requires advanced Revit/AutoCAD skills, knowledge of U.S. building codes, and experience coordinating with MEP and other disciplines. This is an on-site opportunity in Medellín, Colombia.

About the role

a U.S.-based architecture firm, is looking for a Level III Architectural Designer, Semi‑Senior to join the team on-site in Medellín. You'll develop and coordinate complete permit and construction document packages for U.S. projects, working closely with project managers, consultants, and clients.

What you'll be doing

• Independently develop and coordinate complete architectural permit and construction document packages, from design development through construction documentation.
• Review architectural drawings for accuracy, consistency, constructability, and code compliance.
• Coordinate architectural documentation with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), fire protection, and civil consultants.
• Review and respond to municipal review comments and prepare revisions and resubmittals.
• Develop architectural details, construction sections, door/window/finish schedules, and technical specifications.
• Perform quality‑control reviews of drawing sets to catch errors, inconsistencies, and coordination conflicts.
• Coordinate daily with project managers and senior architects on priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Participate in coordination meetings with consultants, clients, contractors, and municipal reviewers.
• Maintain project documentation, drawing logs, revision records, and file organization.
• Research applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and jurisdictional regulations.
• Support construction administration: respond to RFIs, review submittals, and prepare supplemental sketches.
• Monitor project schedules and proactively flag delays, coordination issues, or scope changes.
• Maintain clear, professional communication in English with U.S.-based clients, consultants, and project teams.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience developing permit and construction document packages for U.S. architecture projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. building codes, permitting processes, and construction documentation standards.
• Experience coordinating with MEP and other engineering disciplines.
• C1 English preferred.
• Experience with D5 Render, Bluebeam Revu, and/or BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Tools
