Backblaze is seeking an Application Security Engineer to embed security into the product and its data handling. You will work hands-on with development in common web languages, apply AI tooling to security tasks, and build security features across a large software stack.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineers, security, product, and QA teams in a remote-first environment, leveraging AI to enhance development and security outcomes.

Formación

• Experience applying security practices to cloud-native applications.
• Hands-on development experience with web languages and security tooling.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices.

Responsabilidades

• Perform security assessments and code reviews on internal and external apps.
• Remediate vulnerabilities with engineers using AI-assisted workflows.
• Develop security automation and tooling to improve processes.
• Support bug bounty program and vulnerability handling.
• Collaborate across security, engineering, product and QA teams.
