Distro is hiring a Senior Accountant in Medellín to join a growing, entrepreneurial team. The role focuses on GAAP-compliant journal entries, reconciliations, fixed assets, revenue recognition, and timely financial reporting within a collaborative environment.

The position offers an onsite schedule (CAMACOL) with standard business hours, enabling exposure to strategic financial operations and career growth.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5 years of general accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, accounting processes, and internal controls.
• Experience with account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage large volumes of financial data accurately.
• Self-motivated and adaptable in dynamic environments.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare adjusting and accrual journal entries in compliance with GAAP.
• Analyze financial transactions and perform monthly account reconciliations.
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization processes.
• Record and monitor daily cash transactions, including property acquisitions.
• Calculate and record company revenue and fee income.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Support month-end close activities and accounting operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of accounting records.
