Telesign is looking for a Security Engineer to enhance its security posture, ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO 27701:2025, as well as SOC 2 and HIPAA.

This role involves overseeing all aspects of Telesign's security initiatives, collaborating with various teams, and conducting security audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong InfoSec background with at least 5 years of experience and excellent communication skills.

Formación

About The Role

We are looking to hire a Security Engineer to oversee all aspects of Telesign’s security posture. The individual will be instrumental in overseeing the evolution of the current security posture, maintaining the ISMS & PIMS, and ensuring its alignment with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO 27701:2025, and ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and HIPAA. They will also be the main point of contact for security audits & assessments from Telesign’s customers. The role will report to Proximus Global CISO, under the security governance team. In addition to the working relationship within Security team, relationships with other TeleSign organizations including Legal & Privacy, Human Resources, Product Management and Sales are anticipated. Interfacing with TeleSign’s executive management team to represent the importance of TeleSign’s security initiatives and participate in key strategic activities can be anticipated. The role will act as TeleSign’s face of security to vendors, customers and others as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance of TeleSign ISMS / PIMS in compliance with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 & ISO 27701:2025.
• Support the maintenance of Telesign towards SOC 2 and HIPAA.
• Manage a security roadmap of projects and integrate those into TeleSign’s services and infrastructure.
• Provide leadership in the areas of information classification, data protection, risk assessment and standardizing of role‑based permissions based on business and organizational needs; lead on SOC engineering efforts like design and develop correlation rules/policies on SIEM platform.
• Work closely with other operations staff, engineering development and client services to ensure TeleSign’s services are secure and available 24 x 7.
• Provide expert analysis of as‑built security and peer review of proposed changes to security.
• Work with HR on insuring corporate on‑boarding/off-boarding of employees/contractors follow security best practices, improve security policies and employee handbooks.
• Support sales engineering to respond to proposed/current customer security questionnaires.
• Improve staff information security awareness through planned trainings and projects, as well as informal everyday communication.
• Work with contracted 3rd party security providers to align current security practices, relate future plans and identify further improvements.
• Be part of the incident management response team, including documenting processes, writing incident postmortems including recovery actions and lessons learned.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an enterprise environment InfoSec job.
• Experience implementing, supporting, or auditing ISO/IEC 27001:2022 & ISO 27701:2025 compliance.
• Experience with SOC 2 & HIPAA.
• Strong problem‑solving skills including ability to perform root cause analysis for preventative analysis and remediation recommendations.
• Capable of independently solving simple to moderately complex problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including mentoring engineering staff members, supporting TeleSign executive staff and customer‑facing security communications.
• Native English speaker, or excellent level of English, especially orally.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of operations and engineering staff, client services.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diversified workload.
