Job summary

JoVE is seeking an Accountant in Colombia to own day-to-day financial operations, focusing on billing and revenue cycle, AR, revenue tracking, and month-end close support. You will manage invoices, payments, and commissions while maintaining accurate financial records.

The role requires a bachelor’s in accounting, 3–5 years of experience, advanced Excel, and fluent English. Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus. Join a global team with growth opportunities and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field.
• 3–5 years of accounting, invoicing, accounts receivable and bookkeeping experience.
• Advanced Excel skills with PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS and complex formulas.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and send customer invoices and follow up on payments.
• Manage accounts receivable and respond to billing inquiries.
• Handle daily bookkeeping, reconciliations and accounting tasks.
• Calculate sales commissions and maintain commission records.
• Track, calculate and reconcile customer revenue.
• Prepare and send license agreements and follow up on signatures.
• Maintain accurate financial records, spreadsheets and reports.
• Assist with month-end closing and related activities.
