Job summary

Kinship Ventures is seeking an Investment Analyst for a remote, contractor role. You will support capital formation and investment work, drafting updates, building market maps, and conducting diligence to back investment theses. Strong writing and investor-facing communication are essential.

You will collaborate with a US-based team, handling confidential information with discretion and delivering high-quality outputs for LPs and co-investors.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in venture capital, investment banking, consulting, startup ops or a founder’s office.
• Direct exposure to fundraising, investor relations or LP communications.
• Exceptional written English and credibility on calls with senior investors; writing is a primary filter.
• A solid base in financial modeling, market sizing, competitive analysis and accounting fundamentals; familiarity with term sheets and cap tables.
• AI-native: fluent in Claude, ChatGPT, Notion and no-code automations; Excel/PowerPoint/Google Workspace.
• Sharp investment judgment: form a point of view, track everything, finish what you start.

Responsibilities

• Fundraising and LP support: draft LP updates, recaps, outreach, build fund decks and newsletters.
• Research and diligence: build market maps, theses, run primary research calls, support sizing and diligence.
• Deal support: coordinate diligence and data requests; keep materials current.
• Written communication: turn meetings into accurate recaps and draft LP/founder materials.
