Job summary

Paired is a global staffing and recruiting agency placing top talent with fast-growing brands. We are hiring a Staff Accountant who will own the daily accounting engine, including AP, inventory reconciliation, and COGS accuracy.

You will transform numbers into actionable insights, partner directly with ownership, and drive rapid decisions to improve margins. This role focuses on unit economics across 1,300 SKUs, vendor management, and ad hoc deep-dives to support month-end close and strategic

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of accounting or FP&A with real inventory, AP, or cost accounting exposure in apparel, CPG, or DTC ecommerce.
• Fluent in 3-way matching and able to push back on discrepancies when numbers don’t add up.
• Excel mastery with pivots, lookups, and models built from scratch.
• Think in terms of unit economics, not just journal entries.
• ERP experience such as NetSuite or QuickBooks; Shopify familiarity is a plus.
• Self-directed and fast to adapt in a high-velocity environment.

Responsibilities

• Own AP full cycle: process, code, and schedule vendor invoices.
• Execute 3-way matching on every inbound shipment and manage vendor terms.
• Run daily vendor account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile invoiced quantities with goods received to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Maintain COGS accuracy and unit economics across 1,300 SKUs.
• Create vendor scorecards and surface cost/variance insights for decision making.
• Collaborate with ownership and surface critical issues for action.
