Canonical is seeking a software engineer to join the Server Certification team, which focuses on developing Python-based testing tools to ensure Ubuntu's optimal performance on enterprise hardware. The ideal candidate will have Python expertise, knowledge of server-class hardware, and a problem-solving mindset.

This position offers the chance to impact the adoption of Linux on enterprise servers in a fun, fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to work from home and travel globally 2-4 times a year.

Formación

• Good knowledge of Python and shell scripting.
• Experience with server-class hardware.
• Familiar with Ubuntu and cloud computing concepts.
• Confident in customer-facing roles.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to open source testing tools like Checkbox and Testflinger.
• Troubleshoot hardware compatibility issues.
• Support Canonical's hardware partners.
• Educate partners about tools and processes.
• Assist in customer deployments of Canonical products.
