Job summary
BairesDev is hiring a Senior Python Data Engineer focused on Healthcare EMR/EHR integrations. You will build automated data pipelines, load data into a HIPAA-compliant platform, and optimize MySQL schemas while integrating with FHIR/HL7 and REST APIs.
Advanced English is required as you will work with global healthcare clients and a diverse, remote team. This role offers 100% remote work with USD compensation and flexible hours.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of data engineering experience with Python.
- Hands-on data from EMR/EHR systems knowledge.
- MySQL schema design, indexing and query tuning.
- REST APIs, JSON/XML, FHIR and HL7 familiarity.
- Daily use of AI-assisted coding tools and ability to review AI output.
- Advanced English proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design and build automated ETL/ELT pipelines from EMR/EHR sources.
- Load data into a HIPAA-compliant centralized database.
- Design and tune MySQL schemas for performance and scalability.
- Integrate with REST APIs and healthcare data standards (FHIR/HL7).
- Leverage AI-assisted coding tools in daily development and verify code.
- Troubleshoot pipelines as new EMR/EHR sources are onboarded.
