BetterPros is seeking an Electrical / Low Voltage Drafter to join our team in a part-time, EST-friendly role based in New York. The drafter will model and detail existing low-voltage and IT systems in Revit, focusing on documentation rather than design.

Qualifications

Background in electrical engineering or low-voltage drafting.
Strong proficiency in Revit.
Experience documenting low-voltage systems such as cabling, fiber, and server rooms.
Fluent English and ability to work remotely with clear communication.
Experience supporting SD–CD documentation workflows.

Responsibilities

Model and detail low-voltage and IT systems in Revit (documentation only, not system design).
Document structures such as cabling, fiber, and server rooms.
Develop project documentation from SD through CD.
Prepare and update SD–CD sets (floor plans, sections, elevations, details).
Create permit sets for local authority submissions.
Perform 3D modeling in Revit during SD and DD phases.
Incorporate redlines and markups accurately throughout the project.
Ensure drawings are coordinated and follow project standards.
Collaborate with the client’s internal team to meet deadlines.
