An engineering consulting firm is seeking a Mechanical HVAC Drafter to create HVAC construction drawings for New York City projects using AutoCAD. The role involves drafting layouts, performing load calculations, and ensuring compliance with NYC codes. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented team players familiar with HVAC systems and proficient in AutoCAD. This position is technical and hands-on, and only English CVs will be considered.

Formación

• Experience drafting HVAC/mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of NYC codes is strongly preferred.
• Ability to perform basic heating and cooling load calculations.

Mechanical HVAC Drafter | AutoCAD | NYC Projects

We’re hiring a Mechanical HVAC Drafter to support New York City building projects, producing code‑compliant HVAC construction drawings using AutoCAD.

In this role, you’ll draft HVAC layouts, ductwork, piping, and boiler systems, perform basic load calculations, and ensure full compliance with NYC Mechanical Code, NYCECC, and DOB requirements. This is a hands‑on technical role within a growing MEP team.

What You’ll Do

• Draft HVAC construction drawings (ductwork, piping, equipment) in AutoCAD
• Perform basic heating and cooling load calculations
• Ensure compliance with NYC Mechanical Code, NYCECC, and DOB
• Coordinate HVAC drawings with architectural and MEP backgrounds
• Review and revise plans based on engineer feedback
• Maintain accurate, well‑organized drawing files

What You’ll Bring

• Experience drafting HVAC/mechanical systems
• Ability to read architectural and mechanical drawings
• Knowledge of NYC codes (strongly preferred)
