BairesDev is seeking an experienced Scala backend engineer to design and build scalable services in a 100% remote environment. You will work with Akka or Play, tuning JVM performance and writing efficient SQL-based data access, while mentoring teammates and defining technical standards.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on Scala development.
• Proven expertise in building backend services and data-heavy applications using Scala.
• Proficiency with Akka or Play frameworks and functional programming patterns.
• Deep understanding of JVM internals and SQL for database management.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable, high-performance distributed systems.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement robust, scalable backend services using Scala and functional patterns.
• Develop asynchronous, concurrent systems leveraging Akka or Play frameworks.
• Optimize application performance through JVM tuning and memory management.
• Integrate services with relational databases using SQL and type-safe data access libraries.
• Architect clean, testable codebases with maintainable design and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
